On grass, clear the ground first and empty it the same day — water left sitting kills the lawn underneath within about two days. Inflate it in shade and take it into the sun, since PVC expands in heat and a tight seam in full sun is how they split. Rinse the chlorine off before storing or the PVC goes brittle.
