Push the stems into a heavy vase with a handful of pebbles — they are light and will tip in anything narrow. Bend the branches out and downward rather than leaving them upright, which is what stops them looking like wire. Warm white sits with candles on a table; mixed with cool white string lights it looks like a mistake.
